I have been off-line for the last week
-- slouching about in general and trying my best to imitate blankets
on the bed, starved bears at the food basket, blue meanies where the
robins outside are concerned, and kindly Father Nature to everyone
else in the back yard who also considers robins to be an annoyance,
which is everyone else. Of course, I have been driving out and about
in Iowa, sometimes at far distances, and I have been listening.
I listen to everybody that I can listen to, especially if they have no idea that I am within a hundred miles of them; and I must say that the nature of the conversations these days is much better than they were five years ago, when I started the main website Voices-Of-Iowa.blogspot.com.
Of course, I do not travel into shitholes like Iowa City (that wants to be the Hideous Boston Horrid Zone of the Midwest), but I did travel to Masons Freaky and was delighted to find it less freaky than usual.
During my listening adventures, I heard the same phrase said about three times, in three different locations -- "It's All About What He Was."
I wish this was being said about Jesus Christ, but for many reasons it was not. It was being said about myself and (by reference) about my websites and Human Resistance. I can always tell when I am the subject matter.
The implication was (and is) that everything about myself and Human Resistance is about 'what he was'. And therefore, what I am and what I will be is entirely immaterial to the youth of today and the future .. and so ... Human Resistance can be relegated to the dusty shelves of History in the Forbidden Library -- where all of those terrible 'Human Books' are sent to die.
