Man! I just am not happy with making videos with myself in them!
For some reason my computers play these videos as though there is a lack of sync with video and audio, by some milliseconds; and it bugs the hell out of me.
Then, next time, the same computers will play these videos perfectly, using the same programs. Overall, the webcam that is making these videos seems to be adequate, but the video editing software does not synchronize the audio and video properly; depending upon which computer is being used. Therefore, I am using three computers simultaneously to edit these videos. I make the exact same changes to the same videos (in the same editing programs) on three computers at the same time. Then I render them all and the results are different depending upon the computers. And, it is not consistent; which means the same computer does not create the same results each time. So, I have to pick the best of the three results (each time) and then run it through OBS. Inside OBS I can change the time sync between audio and video, which makes it much better.
Meanwhile, OBS allows me to make high quality 576p versions at low gigabytes; with high quality audio. That is perfect for this application because it is really only the audio that matters, with myself showing a few pictures for support.
[[I am using OBS 30.0.0 (64 bit) -- and it has the 'Hardware (QSV, H.264)' option for video encoder in the 'Settings--Output' section. If you use that and set your 'Recording Quality' at (High Quality, Medium File Size) you will get high quality videos with smaller file sizes -- and whatever audio quality you set in the 'Settings--Audio' section.]]
It took me four days just to produce and edit and reproduce and re-edit these videos until I have three to offer at 576p.
It seems that Windows Media Player plays them better than VLC, which often loses sync between audio and video anyway. Inside Windows Media Player is the 'More options' tab, and inside there is the 'Performance' tab, and inside there is a control for 'Drop frames to keep audio and video synchronized' -- enable that because it seems to help. Also, enable 'Use video smoothing'.
So, I am offering these videos 'AS IS', and I hope they work right for you and your computers. They do work perfectly for me, if I reboot the computer first and turn off all other programs; and I have a lot of RAM memory, and I have a fast video system in that computer. In other words, if all computer resources are used by the program that you are using for the video, it will work better; which is always the case anyway.
AH YES! Another reason to upgrade your mother boards as I described in the June 2026 Message Part 3. I test these videos on computers that have not been upgraded, to be sure they will work on your 'non-upgraded' machines.

Remember what I say here about using 'Audacity' to strip off the audio tracks of any MP4 video. If you load an MP4 video file into Audacity, it might refuse at first, but the latest versions will then load the audio tracks only; according to the quality settings that you have told it to use. If you choose 320K mp3 or 48000K wav as your project standard it will load the audio tracks in High Fidelity. Then, you will have the audio of any MP4 video; held separately. These you can change, amplify, equalize, edit etc. Then, export them as new audio files in WAV or MP3 or WMA etc.
When that is done, you will literally have transformed the MP4 video into an audio podcast, which you can listen to everywhere.
